In the context of law, transparency and our commitment for a continuous two-way relationship with our stakeholders, the Authority announces a public consultation in relation to the Code of Practice in relation to the advertising of betting (the “Code of Advertising”), taking into consideration the following:<\/p>\n
1. the opinions and comments submitted during a consultation meeting in regards to the proposed changes to the Code of Advertising with the participation of the Authority\u2019s licensees, the members of the advertising companies and SDEK.<\/p>\n
2. the results of the National prevalence survey recently published by the National Betting Authority, the aim of which was to define gambling participation, to determine the percentage of problem gambling, to study the social and demographic characteristics of players, as well as defining the different profiles of players and their characteristics, in particular players categorized as problem gamblers;<\/p>\n
3. the quantitative research on “Advertising and Gambling”, the objective of which was to investigate the degree of effectiveness of regulated advertising, the frequency and means of display of advertising, as well as to investigate the degree of solicitation of advertisements for betting and lucky games,<\/p>\n
4. trends and best practices regarding gambling advertising within the EU;<\/p>\n
The purpose of this consultation document is for stakeholders to submit opinions and suggestions for the improvement of the regulatory framework of the advertising of the provision of betting services, so that they are taken into account when improving the existing framework of the Code of Advertising.<\/p>\n
