The conference will bring together international experts, representatives of regulatory authorities, academics, industry professionals and other key stakeholders to exchange knowledge and share experiences on the evolving challenges of player protection.<\/p>\n<p>Under the central theme \u201cThe Future of Player Protection: Shaping a More Sustainable Gambling Industry Through Innovation,\u201d this year\u2019s conference will explore how scientific knowledge, regulation, technology and innovation can contribute to creating a safer and more sustainable environment for players.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The programme will feature thematic sessions and discussions on the regulation of gambling-related harms, the psychological and biological factors influencing risk-taking, as well as developments in the European regulatory landscape and efforts to strengthen player protection.<br \/>\nParticular emphasis will be placed on the illegal gambling market, with discussions focusing on current trends, the challenges faced by regulatory authorities, and the potential use of data and other tools to identify and tackle illegal activity.<\/p>\n<p>Safer Gambling Week 2026 includes a series of information and awareness-raising activities aimed at fostering a more informed and responsible approach to betting and gambling.
