The National Betting Authority and the Youth Board of Cyprus are hosting a digital conference titled “E-Governance: Transforming for the New Digital Era – The road to digital transformation and a modern state”, on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 10:00am.

Digital transformation is widely recognised as an essential tool in the creation of a modern state whose services, institutions and bodies respond to its citizens’ demands and serve their needs. Regarding the digital transformation of the broader public sector, the Government of Cyprus has been taking steps in this direction in recent years, through its implementation of policies specifically aimed at bringing the state into the digital era.

The conference will address issues such as the policies/strategies that need to be adopted, the process of transforming the public service and the training of public servants. Recent actions taken by the Government and various public sector organisations regarding digital reform will also be presented, together with the challenges experienced during the process. Read more →
