The National Betting Authority participated for the third consecutive at the ICE Totally Gaming 2019 international exhibition, the world’s largest gambling exhibition, held in London from February 4-7, 2019. This year’s exhibition has attracted the interest of more than 30,000 visitors and 600 exhibitors from 150 countries worldwide.
Headed by National Betting Authority’s chairwoman, Mrs. Ioanna Fiakkou, the delegation visited the ICE exhibition where it held contacts with respective EU and international regulatory authorities and representatives of gambling companies. It was also briefed on the latest developments and new products showcased at the stands. The National Betting Authority’s delegation also had bilateral meetings, and discussed, inter alia, ways to enhance cooperation on common issues with other regulators and partners, such as gaming certification labs, non-profit organizations for responsible gambling, potential betting providers, anti-money laundering companies, and more.
The National Betting Authority delegation also attended lectures and specialised seminars organised within the framework of ICE VOX. This year’s edition of the seminars included the following seven topics: electronic crime and security, e-Sports, international casino developments, lottery modernization, advertising and marketing, world regulatory briefing and artificial intelligence.
ICE is held in London every year and offers company officials from the gambling sector and regulatory bodies the opportunity for networking, business development, information and exchange of views.
