For the 7^th year in a row, the National Betting Authority (NBA) will hold the 7th annual Safer Gambling Week from October 7th to 13th, 2024, under the theme “Safety: The Real Hero in Every Game.”

Now in its seventh year, Safer Gambling Week has become a pivotal event in the industry, bringing together a wide range of stakeholders committed to promoting safer gambling practices. The week is dedicated to raising awareness among both players and the general public about the importance of safe gambling behaviors. The National Betting Authority has launched the “Professional Skills Academy”, aiming to establish Cyprus as a fair and safe hub that fosters the betting sector’s development and innovation, with a primary focus on player protection. As part of its vision, the NBA is dedicated to building expertise in the betting sector and increasing the industry’s workforce, facilitating easier recruitment for companies directly or indirectly involved in the sector. By doing so, the Authority reinforces its leading role in the sector’s sustainable development through regulation and supervision, emphasizing societal protection and the reduction of illegal activities.
