The National Betting Authority (hereinafter referred to as the “Authority”), exercising the powers which derive from article 11(l) of the Betting Law 2012, L. 106(I)/2012, as amended or replaced from time to time, drafts and issues the following Code of Practice on Betting Advertising.
Under the framework of legality, transparency and our commitment for a continuous interactive relationship with our stakeholders, the Authority announces a public consultation in relation to the above-mentioned Code of Advertising. The consultation is concentrated in providing a regulatory framework apt in safeguarding good advertising practices in relation with the provision of betting services and the implementation of the said provisions.
The Authority’s aim is to ensure that all stakeholders receive adequate and satisfactory information regarding the accepted practices of advertising, as defined in the Code, and to determine whether these are sufficient enough in order to constitute a comprehensive regulatory framework.
The public consultation provides stakeholders with the opportunity to submit their comments and suggestions to the email address [email protected].
The deadline for the submission of comments/suggestions is the 20th of March 2019.
