PUBLIC CONSULTATION- REGULATIONS FOR THE PROTECTION OF PLAYERS, MINORS AND PATHOLOGICAL PLAYERS
The National Betting Authority (hereinafter referred to as the “Authority”), exercising the powers which derive from article 15(q) of the Betting Law 2019, L. 37(I)/2019, as amended or replaced, drafts and issues Regulations for the Protection of Players, Minors and Pathological Players.
Under the framework of legality, transparency and our commitment for a continuous interactive relationship with our stakeholders, as well as our Responsible Gaming Action Plan and the Strategic Plan, the Authority announces a public consultation in relation to the above-mentioned Regulations. The consultation is concentrated in providing a regulatory framework apt in safeguarding good practices in relation with the protection of players, minors and pathological players.
The Authority’s aim is to ensure that all stakeholders receive adequate and satisfactory information regarding the accepted practices for the protection of players, minors and pathological players, as defined in the regulations, and to determine whether these are sufficient enough in order to constitute a comprehensive regulatory framework.
